2009 FPZV USA “Champion Colt” of North America
“Echo van de Pluum WEF”
The 2009 FPZV USA Keuring results have just been released and our colt, Echo van de Pluum WEF has been chosen the “Champion Colt” for North America! We knew Echo was something very special indeed and it is wonderful to see how excited his new owners, Jean and Mike Spires of Erie, Pennsylvania were when they received the fabulous news! They told me they called everyone they knew to tell them the wonderful news! Echo has found ” horse heaven on earth” with Mike and Jean and we are so happy for all of them! :-)
For Wyning Edge, we have now bred the FPZV USA “Champion Colt” of North America for THREE consecutive years running (2007, 2008, 2009), as well as the 2007 FPZV USA “Champion Yearling Filly” of North America! We take such satisfaction in seeing the goals of our Preferent Elite breeding program realized! Each of these colts was sired by our magnificent Preferent Elite stallion, Aswyn van de Pluum, out of three distinctly different, yet highly awarded Friesian mares (see below). Our Champion filly, Tzara de Pluum WEF was sired by Wyn de Pluum WEF, our of Zabrina fan Veldbos, Star, Model. With Aswyn’s (and Rixt’s) sad passing last September, we are fortunate to possess a limited quantity of his frozen semen which we will utilize over the next decade with the intent of carrying on his incredible lineage! May Aswyn & Rixt’s unrivaled influence continue to carry forward through their outstanding son, our World Champion and FPZV Approved Breeding Stallion, Wyn de Pluum v.V.

Well, while we are so very excited for Cirawyn to have a wonderful new home with Amanda, we are very sad to see our beautiful little (ok, not so little anymore!) go…she will be so missed. Her sweet nature and fun loving personality put a smile on our faces ever single day, and now she will do that for Amanda!
We wish Amanda, Cirawyn and her whole new family such joy and happiness for many wonderful years to come!
Cira, as we call her, is beautiful little filly with tons of pizzazz! Her flying changes at 3 days old were a vision to behold and she has only gone on to impress us even more with her adorable high knee action, bold movement and overall wonderful athleticism.
Cira adores people, nickering to them for rubs and will not hesitate to present her cute little patootie for scratching! She seemed to immediately understand why humans were put on this earth and all the glorious things we could do for her! In short, she is what we all desire, a loving partner equal to our devotion…
Cirawyn is now a beautiful two years old! Her long leans lines and heavenly gaits are such a pleasure to watch. She is a very loving filly that seeks out the attention of people and really enjoys “hanging” out with us. I cannot wait to see her under saddle…she will be an amazing riding horse! And as for her future as a broodmare, she has both the bloodlines and the beauty to produce the finest of foals…and I can’t wait to see them either!

We are so very excited for Tzaro to have found such a fantastic new home with the Fecteau family! Soon he will head off for El Paso, Texas where the family is relocating in May, 2010. We will miss Tzaro soooooo much, but cannot express our joy at the wonderful future he will have as the newest and very much loved member of their family!
Tzaro is a fabulous young stallion and the first colt produced by his USDF & IFSHA Grand Champion sire, Wyn de Pluum v.V. His sire’s influence is evident in his conformation, attitude and incredible movement. He is turning four years old, and as he matures, he is growing into one of the most handsome of young stallions.
He is tall, bold and athletic making him a very nice candidate for the FPZV SPT. He has mastered his in-hand work and has now been trained to ride. Tzaro also ties, trailer loads & rides comfortably, clips and stands quietly for the farrier.
Tzaro is maturing very nicely and we are very proud of him! His conformation is perfect for sporthorse/dressage competition.

Ember de Pluum WEF is by Aswyn’s son, our World Champion, Wyn de Pluum v.V. and our very sweet and beautiful Zabrina fan Veldbos. The two have paired in the past very successfully producing Tzara de Pluum WEF, the 2007 FPZV “Yearling Filly Champion” – 8.00 – 1st Premium.
Ember is a lovely young filly with lots of personality, yet she is very mature for her age! She is very grounded, confident in her skin and easy to handle. Ember possesses both the easy temperament and the athleticism that WEF strives for when breeding. She has been trained to trailer load easily, to stand quietly for the farrier and grooming, as well as wearing a blanket with ease! She is a lovely filly that will mature into a beautiful mare. Ember is of the finest of bloodlines and has great potential to produce foals of the highest quality.
